Written in the late 80's the story still manages to drag you in. I do admit that even at 64 years old I kept waiting for someone to pull a phone out of their pocket. I read this novel back when it first appeared since I'm a Constant Reader. But, I was still a little surprised at the ending because I didn't remember it being exactly the way it happened. Very mild spoiler alert: well maybe not even a spoiler. But, there was at least one less death of a character than I remembered. This one could have gotten bogged down but Stephen King kept the action going pretty well. This is a good solid story that while it might not keep you guessing. It won't bore you either.
